Minja Ćosović and Bojana Jojić from the International Cooperation Office are on a study visit to the University of KU Leuven in Belgium as part of the Erasmus+ mobility program. The visit represents a significant step in the internationalization process of the Faculty of Medicine in Foča, and it is particularly important to emphasize that this is the first time that representatives of the faculty have visited the headquarters of the University of KU Leuven, one of the oldest and most prestigious European universities, which this year celebrates its six centuries of existence.
During their stay in Leuven, the mobility participants had the opportunity to learn in detail about the organization of work and infrastructure capacities of the university, as well as the functioning of key services that provide support to international students and employees. Special attention was paid to the work of the Admission Department, the Credential Evaluation Office and the Immigration Office, whose experiences represent a valuable example of good practice in the field of international cooperation and mobility management.
The study visit enabled the exchange of knowledge, experiences and ideas with colleagues from KU Leuven, which further strengthened the institutional capacities for the development of international cooperation. The discussion focused on improving procedures related to the admission of international students, the recognition of academic qualifications, support for incoming and outgoing mobility, as well as on the possibilities of further strengthening cooperation between the two institutions.
The acquired knowledge and experience will be applied in the further work of the International Cooperation Office with the aim of improving the services provided to students and employees, and further developing the internationalization process of the Faculty of Medicine in Foča. Such activities contribute to strengthening the international visibility of the faculty and its more active inclusion in the European higher education area.
