The Faculty of Medicine in Foča’s Medical Study Programme has been accredited in accordance with the criteria of the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME). The Faculty of Medicine in Foča is the first institution in Bosnia and Herzegovina to receive accreditation under the WFME standards. The accreditation process was conducted by the Hungarian Accreditation Committee (MAB).
As a result of the accreditation procedure based on the WFME 2020 standards, MAB has accredited the Bachelor of Medicine programme at the Faculty of Medicine in Foča, University of East Sarajevo. The accreditation—provided that the programme continues to meet the required standards—remains valid for eight years, until 10 July 2033, with mid-cycle monitoring, including a Commission visit, to be carried out no later than 31 December 2029.
